Richard Grain is the principal of the Grain Law Firm. With offices in Beverly Hills and Pasadena, California the Grain Law Firm provides extensive estate planning, trust administration and probate services to individuals, families and business owners in the Greater Los Angeles area. Richard’s primary focus is protecting his clients from the potentially devastating legal consequences of disability, death and taxation. Through proper estate planning, people can avoid probate, protect their assets, minimize taxes, continue their legacies through strategic charitable giving, and provide for the security of their loved ones.

Memberships & Experience

A California attorney since 1985, Richard is also a member of the Trusts and Estates Sections of the California State Bar and Los Angeles County Bar Association, and a member the exclusive Beverly Hills Estate Planning Council. A noted speaker on living trusts and estate planning, Richard’s seminars are said to be entertaining, informative and easy-to-understand. 

Richard previously practiced law for 15 years in London, England, where he handled multi-jurisdictional litigation and mediation in Paris and The Hague for various global corporations and foreign governments. He also provided trust administration support for an international clientele.  Richard was enrolled as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales and a member of the Law Society of England, as well as a past president of the London Young Solicitors’ Group.

Personal

A resident of the the Hollywood Hills with his chocolate Labrador, Oliver, Richard spends what time he can on gardening, traveling to visit his family in England and Spain, and collecting early 20th Century black & white photographs.
